Luc Besson (the creator of 5th Element) co-wrote TRON: Legacy.

The original TRON was a cult classic to my parents, just not to me. There is a generational gap there. That doesn’t reflect poorly on the film, just that I wasn’t old enough to be into a more serious film than Ghostbusters.

Your outline of the similarities between Tron 2.0 and the fifth element is awesome and very accurate. <3.

I would say if you are planning to see this please read the tree of life preview. It was Brilliant. But like most masterpieces it requires you to do your part and also it was very slow and never picked up the pace..although Brad looked amazing!
